In a life-threatening way, teenagers jump over the top of ten-story staircases and rollerblade as if they were on an obstacle course.

The residents of the affected stairwells in Diósgyőr were all shocked by the incident. Nagné Herdik Piroska said that there had been "gangs" on the roofs before, but there was no such thing.

"I've lived in the housing estate for several decades, it's a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, and it upsets me that such negative things are in the news"

- He told. He added that he also saw young people on the roof, but he did not think they were residents.

"These teenagers can come here from somewhere else, and I don't think their parents know exactly what they're doing here either, because a normal person can assess what dangers this can entail"

he emphasized.

Attila Janasóczki, the press spokesman of the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Police Headquarters, said that staying on the roof of a ten-story panel building is life-threatening.

Even a wrong move at such a height can cause a tragedy, so we advise that if anyone notices such an incident, call the central emergency number immediately

- He told.

Extreme environments attract them

The distance between the panels on Kuruc street is only 60-70 centimeters, according to one resident, this may attract young people.

Erzsébet Nagy lives in one of the affected panels, according to whom the height and the fact that the panels are passable can be very "promising" for a teenager.

"When you're young, you don't think like an older person, so it's natural that they think what they do is cool"

- He told. He pointed out: the attic doors are also open because they have to keep them open. "In the past, people used to sunbathe as much as possible on top of the panels, now they are jumping, it saddens me that young people resort to this," he emphasized. According to him, the solution would be if the parents paid enough attention to the children and explained to them that even though the gap between the buildings is less than one meter, one trip and the problem is over.

These panels are about 35 meters high, a fall from such a height can be fatal, I don't want to wake up in the morning to find someone being circled by the police right here

he highlighted.

We have learned from the police that being on roofs is not a crime in itself, however, the police will take action if they perceive that there is a risk to personal or property safety in order to avoid possible injuries.
