After the 6-1 success away from home, Ferencváros beat the Maltese Hamrun Spartans 2-1 in the second leg on Thursday, and thus advanced from the third round of the Football Conference League qualifiers with a double win.

The islanders started with a quick goal, but the Hungarian champions equalized before the break with a header from Mali's Adama Traore, and the winning goal was scored by Barnabás Varga, the top scorer of the OTP Bank League acquired in the summer, in the 69th minute.

In the fourth and final round of the qualifiers, the green and whites will fight for a place in the group stage against the Lithuanian team Zalgiris Vilnius. After the 3-1 defeat at home, the Lithuanians were defeated 5-0 away from home, thus falling behind in the Europa League qualifier against Sweden's Häcken with a double defeat. The first act next Thursday will be held in Lithuania.
