This year, the National Ambulance Service won the highest, diamond grade of the Angels award for its modern and high-quality on-site, pre-hospital care of stroke cases in all regions of the country.

In a statement, the ambulance service wrote that international professional organizations continuously and regionally examined the effectiveness and quality of emergency care in Hungary for stroke patients, the evaluation also covered the on-site ambulance care of suspected stroke patients, as well as all elements of the organization of transport to the hospital.

Based on the analysis of the ambulance care data of the approximately 30,000 stroke cases of the past year, the National Emergency Service received a diamond grade rating from the international organization - the only one among 152 countries examined - in the entire territory of the country, i.e. in all seven regions of Hungary.

The Angels award is donated by the European Stroke Society and the Angels international organization.
