Despite the challenges caused by the coronavirus epidemic, Hungary set an investment record last year, as 1,494 companies committed to development.

Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, reported this success today in Győr. At an AS event in Győr, the minister handed over a competitiveness-enhancing support document to Pannon Tools Kft.

The head of the ministry added that exports once again exceeded 100 billion euros, which made Hungary the 34th best performer in the world , even though it ranks only 94th in terms of population.

He said that Pannon Tools Kft., which employs around seventy people and manufactures tools and parts, will support the HUF 125 million capacity increase investment by the government with HUF 41 million. He also mentioned that 63 companies in Győr-Moson-Sopron county are investing HUF 45 billion , which will protect the jobs of 14,500 people.
