Gayle Hunnicutt, the actress of the popular American series, died at the age of 80.
Gayle Hunnicutt, an actress born in Texas, died at the age of eighty. Most people in our country know her from the series Dallas, but she also appeared in the TV series Fall of Eagles and The Golden Bowl. The actress died on August 31.
Gayle Hunnicutt was married twice, after divorcing British actor David Hemmings, she married journalist and editor Sir Simon Jenkins, for whom she moved to England and became an integral part of British social life in addition to her acting career. Finally, her second marriage also ended in divorce, after which she formed a couple with tennis correspondent Richard Evans.
Hunnicutt was an intriguing character in the last three seasons of Dallas, from 1989 to 1991 playing Vanessa Beaumont, an English aristocrat with whom Jockey Ewing had a previous affair and with whom she secretly fathered a son.
Gayle's career began at a young age, noticed by Warner Brothers, in a school production at the University of Los Angeles. His first series role was a comedy, Mister Roberts, in which he was only 23 years old.
Hunnicutt also established himself on the world's boards, touring for years with the play The Life and Loves of Edith Wharton, which was a real hit with the public.
