In the first part of our podcast series, which is starting now, we talked with Vince Szalay-Bobrovniczky, the Deputy State Secretary responsible for civil and social relations at the Prime Minister's Office, about the Village Civil Fund and the Urban Civil Fund, the NEA tenders that will start again in the fall. It was discussed how the NEA support of organizations across the border strengthens Hungarianness beyond the border, but we also touched on the work of the county civil community service centers. It was said that, in addition to tender resources, it would be important for NGOs to use two other sources of funds, namely donations and self-sustaining, income-generating activities. The question is, how much do civil organizations want and are able to take advantage of these opportunities? We also talked about how the increase in energy prices caused by the war is an additional burden for civil organizations, can they solve the problem on their own or do they need external help?
