While Hungary does not receive the rightful EU funds necessary to raise teachers' wages, Brussels continues to finance Hungary's left-liberal hinterland

Magyar Nemzet presents how the union takes over the financing of the speculator's goals, as well as for what purposes and how much money is given to anti-government organizations and media outlets.

, the evaluation of 311 project plans received for the first call for tenders of the EU civil "Citizens, Equality of Opportunities, Rights and Values" (CERV) program was completed . During the program, it was possible to apply for two categories - "Partnership" and "Development" - and a total of HUF 567 million was allocated.

According to the website of the European Commission, the current grant of more than half a billion is implemented within the framework of the so-called CERV program. In the case of Hungary, according to the logic of the EU, i.e. the program for a seven-year cycle, according to the information that has been made public so far, generally helps to finance the national and local hinterland of the left-liberal side. The total amount is four billion forints, of which nearly one and a half billion will be distributed under the coordination of the Ökotárs Foundation, part of which is the decision-making authority over the current 567 million forints.

In addition to the mentioned tender, in addition to the sums listed so far, a number of left-liberal organizations also receive money directly from Brussels, under different legal titles, within the framework of the same EU program. The list includes well-known domestic NGOs that have been receiving support from György Soros's foundation for years. This time, we only cite a few examples from the most well-known organizations, with the amounts of money allocated to them:

  • Helsinki Committee - Society for Freedoms (TASZ): HUF 71 million
  • Háttér Társaság (for gays): HUF 64 million
  • Association led by Amnesty International: HUF 100 million
  • Republikon Institute: HUF 59 million

In addition to the ones listed, regional human rights organizations linked to Soros also benefit from EU funds, such as Emberség Erejevel in Pécs, the Association of Alternative Communities in Debrecen, the Dialog for Communities in Miskolc and the Motivation Education Association in Szeged. They will receive HUF 66 million in total.

The non-profit Kft named RGDTS Roma Gadje Párbeszéd - headed by DK's Roma advisor Herfort Marietta - as well as Political Capital marked by the name of former SZDSZ member Zoltán Somogyi, Haver Informális Zsidó Oktatási Alapítvány and Szivární Missionzió Alapítvány will receive the same amount of money from Brussels.

Also, a substantial grant from Brussels - HUF 72.5 million - is coming to the consortium led by the district in the project of the left-liberal-led Józsefváros municipality.

It is important to note that nearly two-thirds of the winning organizations have previously received support from the György Soros Open Society Foundation. Among the successful applications, quite a few deal with LGBTQ issues and migration. Furthermore, among the winners, we also find a lot of announcements that aim to strengthen the "local communities" - in fact, the local left-liberal hinterlands - and embrace anti-government actions. An example is the protest against the battery factory in Göd.

In addition, the list of beneficiaries shows that several anti-government dollar media are financed by Brussels. The typical grant amounts are 20 and 7 million forints, respectively, which in many cases is a useful additional element in the financing of media organizations in addition to other foreign grants - for example, sources from the Soros Foundation or American state funds.
