The story of the game

The story of Péter Fazakas' film takes place in Budapest in 1963. State security officer András Jung has a perfect life, he lives happily with his wife, Éva. The only thing standing in the way of his promotion is a competitive colleague, Kulcsár. When the legendary spy Pál Markó emerges from the past in connection with an unsolved case, a merciless duel begins. Nobody and nothing is what it seems, and a single human gesture can cost the protagonist's life.

Last year, János Kulka won the Best Actor, Gabriella Hámori the Best Supporting Actor, and Gábor Balázs the Hungarian Motion Picture Award for his performance in the play. In the spring, at the Porto film festival, Zsolt Nagy was awarded the best actor award for his performance in the film, while Norbert Köbli was awarded the best screenplay award.
