It is very rare for someone to become one of the biggest figures in the sport during their active career.

Three-time Olympic champion fencer Áron Szilágyi was elected to the Hall of Fame by the international federation. As the only male fencer, Szilágyi triumphed individually at three consecutive Olympics: first in London, then in Rio de Janeiro, and two years ago he won a gold medal in Tokyo.

In addition, he completed his gold collection last year with the individual world championship title, previously he could only stand on the highest step of the podium as a team in 2007. He won the European Championships once as an individual and twice as a team.

According to Thursday's report on the website of the Hungarian association, it is very rare for someone to become one of the biggest figures in the sport during his active career.
