has released a new condemning abortion, saying the real joy in life is having children, not killing them, LifeNews.com reports.

"Abortion has gone from being tolerated to being celebrated. What kind of sick people say that killing your child is the way to happiness?” - asked. - "The meaning of life is to have children and to see our grandchildren being born. Nothing gives me more joy than this. Nothing comes close. Would you trade your job for your children? Would you trade anything for your children? Of course not."

He also said that radical pro-abortion Democrats have become so extreme with their abortion-before-birth mantra that abortion has turned from a "political debate to a spiritual battle." Carlson said

shocked that Democrats support 100% abortion up to the moment of birth.

“The ballot initiatives your voters will face in November are truly staggering. And I'm shocked because they're so different from the politics I've covered most of my life. I am 54 years old. I've been working on this topic since I was 22 years old,” Carlson said.

"During this time, most of our debates in the political sphere were about how to improve people's lives with competing ideas...

Both sides at least pretended to try to improve the lives of the people who voted for them."

However, according to Carlson, abortion and the destruction of human life are contrary to biblical values.

"It is all described in detail in the Hebrew Bible. It is the human sacrifice that is mentioned in about every fourth chapter. Every single time it is described, this crime is called heinous….it is not a natural human function to want to kill our own children. It's an idea, an impulse that was introduced. People have been influenced by outside forces at all times throughout history, in every culture on the planet, to convince people that if they sacrifice their children, they will be happy and safe. Now they say that abortion itself is the path to joy. Indeed?"
