"Unfortunately, we see the culture of lies not only on the government side. The Democratic Coalition also represents a similar political culture. And this is a serious obstacle to the change of government"

- says the Momentum EP representative.

According to the opposition politician, "the economic and livelihood crisis has dispelled the charm of Fidesz, there is the myth it created about itself, and it has become clear: it is unfit to govern, despite the self-evident loss of the last decade". Anna Donáth is sure that there are many more people in Hungary today who want the government to leave than those who support keeping Fidesz in power.

According to Donáth, the basis of governance is the culture of truth. He explained that the experience of the past two decades has taught the voters that politicians lie.

"They lie morning, night and evening. Voters have learned not only that politicians lie regardless of party affiliation, but also that lying is the basic nature of politics."

The momentary EP representative stated:

"only a political culture based on truth can be the foundation of the governing force that can possibly replace this power".

"It clearly follows from this that as long as there is an actor in the opposition working for a change of government who, like the government, represents a political culture based on lies instead of a culture of truth, the unity necessary for a change of government cannot be achieved. Moreover, such an actor, no matter what he says, is an obstacle to the change of government."

Donáth writes that, unfortunately, we see the culture of lies not only on the government side.

"The self-proclaimed inescapable party of the opposition, the Democratic Coalition, also represents a similar political culture"

And this, contrary to his self-definition, is not a condition, but a serious obstacle to the change of government"

The politician of the moment expressed this about the president of the DK:

He never acknowledged his responsibility for bringing the Hungarian economy into a situation close to bankruptcy. He lied to the voters, brought the country to the brink of bankruptcy, and therefore never followed society.

He recently declared that the 2008 crisis was "caused by the world" and he solved it. He did not say a single word about how much responsibility he personally bears for the fact that the world crisis brought the country's economy to its knees due to his totally flawed economic policy. Which he did not solve by any means, since he resigned at the bottom of the crisis and left his problems to the crisis management government," writes Donáth in his article.

He also brought up the historic failure of the opposition in last year's parliamentary elections:

"The president of the Republic of Denmark continued to deny responsibility in his post-election interview last year. He awkwardly avoided taking part in the catastrophic defeat of the opposition, of which DK was an integral part."

The EP representative of Momentum did not leave Klára Dobrev out of the line either

He claims that the shadow prime minister refused to say that they were wrong when they did not support László Botka in 2017 "Let the rich pay!" campaign, even though this is one of the guiding threads of the recently announced social democratic program of the DK. Donáth asked the question: why are they unwilling to admit without further discussion that they were wrong and that they now think differently, why do they have to create the appearance of infallibility and avoid responsibility for their own words and actions?
