The women demonstrated in several Ukrainian cities on Friday, demanding that the soldiers who have been serving for a year and a half be demobilized.

According to media reports, the protesters primarily urged the adoption of the bill on demobilization after 18 months of service, which was already before the parliament. The participants also tried to draw attention to the Internet petition addressed to the President of Ukraine on the subject, for which the

25,000 supporting votes, so the head of state is obliged to respond to it.

A small group of soldiers' relatives gathered in the main square in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. Among other things, the demonstrators chanted that

"other people's time has come", "everyone must share in the victory" and "soldiers have families too".

There were similar movements in Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Lviv and Chernivtsi in western Ukraine, in Zaporizhzhya, Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih in the eastern part of the country, in Kropivnytskyi in the central part of the country, and in Odesa in the south.

In several places, women took part in the event with their children. Although large gatherings are in principle prohibited in Ukraine due to the state of war, according to the information so far, the demonstrations took place without disturbance.
