He sees the situation as hopeless, and tells the teachers who are still on the field: to leave the field, because "change will only happen if everyone stands up." "There are many jobs that pay more money than teaching," said the former leader of the teachers' protests and a former school director in an interview.

"The situation will not improve, so whoever knows should pick up their tent and move abroad." A responsible parent, if he can, cannot decide otherwise

- among others, István Pukli spoke about this to Magyar Hang .

The former teacher and school principal became known during the 2016 teachers' protests, he became the leader of the Tanítanék Movement, then he gave up his involvement in public life and left education as well. As he said

"everyone's own family is the most important thing. Teachers must also recognize this. There are plenty of jobs that pay more than teaching."

At the age of 44, he and his wife decided to move abroad for the sake of their three children.

– We wanted them to get a quality education, and for that we are willing to pay any price. It doesn't matter what my job is, the main thing is that they have a chance for a normal adulthood

- He told. As he put it,

since the decision was ripe, the change of country was not difficult, it went surprisingly quickly and smoothly, but he admits that "now there are more difficult moments".
