It will be set up on Monday at Kossuth Lajos Square with the help of experts from disaster management, the National Guard and the police.

On Monday morning, the Office of the Parliament will set up the country's Christmas tree on Kossuth Square, following decades of tradition.

Among the offerings, this year the choice fell on a 24-meter-tall, 80-centimeter trunk diameter, 5-ton pine, which until now decorated the garden of a family home in Hajdúszoboszló.

During the delivery of the pine wood, you may have to expect traffic restrictions and waiting times from 4 p.m. on Sunday. The restrictions apply to Hajdúszoboszló-4 main road - M4 motorway - M0 motorway - M7-M1 motorway common entrance section - XI. Budaörsi út – BAH junction – XII. Alkotás street - Krisztina körút - Széll Kálmán tér - Margit körút - Bem József utca - Tölgyfa utca - Margit híd - Jászai Mari tér - Balassi Bálint utca - Kossuth Lajos tér.

The delivery time may change in case of windy weather, because it is not safe to lift the tree with the crane.
