According to a court order, the mayor is not even temporarily entitled to protection from paying taxes.
The House has decided: Gergely Karácsony will not be exempted from paying the solidarity tax, Finance Minister Mihály Varga wrote on his social media page.
He noted: after the immediate legal protection awarded by the Capital Tribunal expired (on October 17), the Court also annulled the decision of the Tribunal
The Court fully accepted the reasons described in the Treasury's appeal, i.e. the Treasury has so far collected the capital's tax debt completely legally.
According to the court order, Gergely Karácsony is not even temporarily entitled to protection from paying taxes, he must comply with the laws and pay the solidarity contribution to help poorer settlements - the finance minister concluded his Facebook post.
