The team arrived at the Népligeti Sports Center on Friday, head coach Dejan Sztankovics conducted their first training session of the year on Saturday, after which the 34-time Hungarian champion left for a training camp in Mezőkövesd, reports Metropol .

"The players returned ready, with a good attitude and motivation. The first training session was just a training session, we will start the hard work in Mezőkövesden"

The Serbian coach took over the management of the Hungarian team in September, their biggest success so far was progressing from the Conference League group stage, the team in green and white shirts finished behind Fiorentina, ahead of Genk and Csukaricski, and is playing Olympiakos to reach the round of 16.

In the championship, however, it went through ups and downs, lost the top position, and after 17 rounds is one point behind the leader Paks. However, the Serbian specialist has a clear goal and expectation for the spring, he wants to take back the first place.

"I have said in many interviews and speeches that we are Ferencváros! We have very important goals, and with this in mind, we start preparing for the next half-season. Nine matches await us within a month from February, but this is our journey. We will be ready for each and every match and we will do everything to win the title."

Fradi will play three NB I champions within eight days in February, first in Kisvárda on the 3rd, followed by the clash against MTK Budapest (February 6th) and Debrecen (February 10th). The tie against Olympiakos will be held on February 15.
