This year, the Csángó ball will be held on February 3rd (Saturday) in the Millenáris B building in Budapest, where they will offer a glimpse of the Csángó Hungarian culture. The main patron of the event is Katalin Novák, President of the Republic of Hungary.

At this year's Csángó ball, Zsolt Németh, founder of the Pro Minoritate Foundation, will give a speech, and the opening speech will be given by László Polgár, president of the Association of Moldavian Csángó Hungarians.

The Pro Minoritate Foundation, together with its co-organizers, organizes the traditional Csángó ball every year during the carnival period. This year too, there will be a dance hall, book presentation, concerts, exhibition, gastronomic presentation, stage show.

At the exhibition, we can also admire the ceramic works of folk singer Mária Petrás, winner of the Prima Primissima award, and within the framework of the gastronomic presentation, we can find out which are the truly typical Csangó dishes and how puliska is made. Traditional musicians, singers and dancers also arrive.

The organizers of the first Csángó Ball in Budapest came together to draw attention to the endangered Csángos of Moldavia, Gyimes and Hétfalus, to the special values ​​they created, and to help the survival of the Csángó communities. Currently, about 50,000 people speak the Csangó Hungarian language, and the number of people of Csangó origin living in Romania is 250,000.
