It is in the interest of our society in all member states that the health of European citizens is not exposed to danger, and that farmers and their families employed in agriculture avoid the bankruptcy situation caused by the influx of quality-unchecked, dumped Ukrainian products. CÖF-CÖKA draws attention to the dangers of this phenomenon in a statement.
The member states of the European Union are obliged to comply with the uniform EU legal regulations on food industry products and consumer protection.
Russian aggression and continued war cannot result in exemptions for agricultural products and food imports. More precisely, pro-war does not mean that products coming from Ukraine endanger the health of European citizens. We have to banish the concept of "eats, doesn't eat, gets nothing else" from the minds of EU bureaucrats.
It is in the interest of our society in all member states that farmers and their families employed in agriculture avoid the bankruptcy situation caused by the influx of quality-unchecked Ukrainian products at dumping prices. Sewing these goods around our necks makes the future of the European agriculture and food industry impossible. The immediate task of the officials of the European Union is to prevent this phenomenon.
One of the world's food pantries operates in Europe, the destruction of which could have unforeseeable consequences.
It is the duty of civil society to stand by the farmers working in agriculture and express our solidarity.
CÖF-CÖKA supports the farmers and thanks the Hungarian Minister of Agriculture, MAGOSZ and the Chamber of Agriculture for being the first to notify the European Union of the emergence of a serious problem.
European farmers, we are with you!
