Magyar Nemzet has learned that the public interest report received by the three most important public law dignitaries was due to David Pressman's scandalous speech

István Tényi, who is known for his announcements in the public interest, addressed the head of state, the prime minister and the speaker of the house because, in his opinion,

the behavior and actions of the United States ambassador in Budapest seriously violate Hungary's sovereignty.

In his speech at the CEU on March 14, David Pressman first criticized the Hungarian government because of the license plates and the CEU, then he shared his doubts about the independence of the press and also attacked the law on the protection of sovereignty.

The ambassador expressed concern about the situation of the independent media and claimed that the media in Hungary had been systematically taken over and bought by oligarchs. The diplomat after that

he began to discuss at length Hungary's pro-peace position, which, according to him, can be clearly perceived as pro-Russian,

because by regularly calling for the cessation of arms shipments and the creation of peace, Hungary is not making peace proposals, but encouraging Ukraine to capitulate.

The United States is Hungary's ally, therefore relations could be developed on the basis of mutual respect and common sense, István Tényi pointed out. He believes, however, that the manifestations of the United States ambassador in Budapest in the past period were unfortunately not about mutual respect.

There is an urgent need to put an end to the practice of the United States feeling empowered to sensitize and teach democracy to other countries, even supposedly allied countries like Hungary

- he pointed out, then stated: You cannot tell such lies and untruths about Hungary without political and legal consequences.
