That's it, Feri.
The president of the Democratic Coalition summarized his position in 11 points.
Ferenc Gyurcsány, the president of the Democratic Coalition (DK), summarized his reaction to Saturday's demonstration and the Péter Magyar phenomenon. All this without mentioning the name of the former head of the Student Loan Center even once.
According to the former prime minister, there are voters
• "those who regard Orbán's administration as a historical disgrace, who did not negotiate with him for a minute";
• "those who have always rejected Fidesz's unrestricted domination aspirations";
• "those who think it is inhumane and unacceptable that the Fidesz government humiliated and humiliates all its opponents in their human nature";
• "those who see theft as theft and corruption as corruption, even if it would supposedly serve to build a new national middle class";
• "for whom Putin has been a murderous tyrant for many, many years";
• those who believe that Hungary is our country, Europe is our home, the hope for normality and a better life;
• "those who have never served Orbán's regime for a single minute never voted for Fidesz";
• "those who urge the full cooperation of the opposition opposing Orbán, and not their division, especially not their replacement";
• "those who, in the midst of minor successes and huge difficulties and failures, have been fighting tirelessly for all these for many years";
• "and those who, despite all this, do not make a compromise with Orbán, do not seek the favor of the right, who stand by each other and do not throw away their convictions for the promise of the moment";
• "those who are not yet tired of the struggle and do not entrust it to their opponents of yesterday".
"We belong to them," concluded Ferenc Gyurcsány.
Republikon: The DK is already threatened by the popularity of Péter Magyar's non-existent party
Regarding his post, it is worth highlighting that the mayor of Szigetszentmiklós, János Nagy, spoke at Péter Magyar's demonstration on Saturday.
After his speech, in the statement of the Democratic Coalition, he recalled that János Nagy, the "Fidesz-collaborative mayor" of Szigetszentmiklós, said at the event that DK representative Attila Jószai often visits László Kövér in his local house. According to the opposition party, on the other hand, the truth is that Attila Jószai never spoke to László Kövér. That is why the party is suing János Nagy.
Ferenc Gyurcsány as the main pillar of the system?
In his speech, Péter Magyar emphasized: "Ferenc Gyurcsány is the pillar and security of NER", Viktor Orbán always wants to fight with him, because he can always defeat him. According to Péter Magyar, the rural-capital, east-west, left-right opposition is artificially maintained, "we need to heal from this, overcome the Turanian curse".
Finally, it is important to highlight the entry of Ágnes Kunhalmi, co-chair of the Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP).
According to him, a left-wing social democrat cannot and does not want right-wing government, but remains on the left, center-left side, on the side of solidarity, justice and the radical reduction of social differences.
Ágnes Kunhalmi also added that because of his "divide and rule" policy, it is not an easy task to bring together more than 2.5 million voters against Viktor Orbán. "Orbán is still sitting back and drinking coffee, because the Fidesz camp is still united and essentially unaffected by what is happening," he concludes.
I also respect those liberals, disillusioned non-partisans and disillusioned right-wing democrats who are watching Péter Magyar with interest today. However, I would like to point out that for me, any kind of coalition for the next parliamentary elections can only be imagined with those who make it clear: they are not willing to cooperate with Fidesz without Orbán
- said the co-chairman of the MSZP.
