And the droids don't even realize they need it until the X is drawn. The Tisza Party, acquired by Péter Magyar, has so far fielded zero candidates in local government elections.

"The Fidesz-KDNP party alliance wants to nominate a total of 3,876 candidates by 8:00 p.m. on April 20, of which 693 want to be mayors. Looking at the parliamentary parties, the governing parties are in a towering lead based on the aggregate! Mi Hazánk Mozgalom is in second place. We would field a total of 1,355 candidates, including 135 mayoral candidates.

In third place is the Democratic Coalition led by Ferenc Gyurcsány. In their case, it is already much more difficult to determine who exactly is their candidate and who is from another party, since DK is already running in several different left-wing alliances, and it is not indicated for each alliance which party the given person came from.

This is also true for the other left-wing parties with parliamentary factions (MSZP, Momentum, Jobbik, LMP, Párbeszéd). It is important to note that Fidesz-KDNP and Mi Hazánk do not run jointly with a left-wing party in any district, and by definition the reverse is also true.

So the DK would field 245 candidates independently, and 729 in an alliance. A total of 974 people so far. This planned number of candidates is currently sufficient for third place.

Surprisingly, LMP is in fourth place. So far, they would independently run 66 candidates, while in an alliance 322 candidates. Momentum would launch 64 candidates independently, while 507 candidates would run in an alliance. So far, the MSZP would field 63 candidates independently, while 649 in an alliance. Jobbik scored 51 independently and 277 as a coalition. Párbeszéd has 3 on its own, and 551 in an alliance. (…)

And finally: the Tisza Party, acquired by Péter Magyar, intends to field 0 candidates in the local government elections so far."
