It is banned in Brussels, "conservative jamborees" are celebrated in Budapest, and while terrorist and pro-Hamas demonstrations are supported and allowed in Brussels, there are no such demonstrations in Hungary, Miklós Szánthó pointed out.

The aim of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC Hungary) is to bring together pro-peace and pro-sovereign forces, because they share the true civilizational values of the West, the triple unity of God-home-family, said the director general of the Center for Fundamental Rights, which organized the event, on Wednesday in Budapest.

Miklós Szánthó said at the press conference held at the venue of the event, Millenáris, that on Thursday and Friday

they are holding the meeting for the third time, which will be bigger than ever, as they expect a record number of almost three thousand participants, including 500 foreign guests, and 80 speakers from six continents.

In addition to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Georgia's Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, three former prime ministers, seven ministers, ten party presidents from around the world, and three congressmen from the Republican Party will speak at the event. Furthermore, 36 press products and 140 media workers from 13 countries will be present, as well as 50 exhibiting partners, almost half of them foreign.

Miklós Szánthó also spoke about how, by the 2020s, the political fault lines had been rearranged along two dimensions, dividing the participants into globalist or sovereignist, and pro-war and pro-peace sides.

However, the modern communists, the supporters of "woke", do not know God, country, family, woman and man, and they do not know that war is not a game, said the director general.

In his opinion, the fundamental problem is that both Brussels and Washington have weak leaders, but peace requires strong leaders. He stated that only a great power led by Donald Trump would be able to achieve a ceasefire and force the parties to peace negotiations in the war in Ukraine.

He also pointed out that while they are banned in Brussels, "conservative jamborees" are celebrated in Budapest, and while terrorist and pro-Hamas demonstrations are supported and made possible in Brussels, there are no such demonstrations in Hungary.

Matt Schlapp, president of the American Conservative Union (ACU), emphasized that he considers Budapest to be the ideal location for the CPAC meeting, because "Prime Minister Viktor Orbán gave hope to Europeans and the whole world."

In his opinion, change can really be achieved if we implement the policy of common sense, and in Hungary they bravely chose this path.

He noted that freedom should not be taken for granted, as it could be lost within a generation.

"There is currently a constitutional crisis in America, where the courts are being used in a corrupt manner, and President Joe Biden is trying to prevent Donald Trump from being re-elected president by spreading lies with the help of reckless legal procedures and the propaganda press," he said.

According to Matt Schlapp, children in big cities in the United States today are being taught to be "woke-ists," to hate their parents and grandparents, and to distort history.

Regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war, Matt Schlapp quoted Donald Trump - the former American president recently said that he could solve the war in Europe in fifteen minutes. According to him, peace talks are needed immediately, and he also noted:

Donald Trump and Viktor Orbán are both very humble from a military point of view. Both support peace.

Matt Schlapp's journalist's question talked about the aid package approved by the US Senate for Ukraine. He said: it would be important to clarify the exact use of the money. He believed that money is constantly being poured into unclear matters in America, for example, billions of dollars were previously given to Hamas, "which is trying to wipe Israel off the map."

In connection with the American law potentially banning TikTok, he highlighted: it is a serious problem that the Chinese government keeps and records the data of all American users.

Miklós Szánthó answered the question of whether there are any visible consequences or effects of the previous conferences: the fruits of networking and international organization are beginning to ripen, the right-wing leaders know each other, stand by each other, can organize together, coordinate their steps, and this is a huge improvement from 10-15 years ago.

In response to the question regarding the American aid voted for Ukraine, he said that the Hungarian right-wing does not believe that any material or military means that would prolong the war would benefit Western civilization.

Another problem, he said, is that fundamental questions such as what will happen if Russia is defeated, if the Putin regime collapses, and what will happen to a post-war Ukraine are not clarified.
