Hungary's pressure on Ukraine brought an important result.
The changes made in the field of minority rights prove that Hungarian pressure on Ukraine is not ineffective, said Attila Demkó, head of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium's geopolitical workshop, when asked by The European Conservative.
It was suggested to the expert that, according to some accusations, the Hungarian government's stance on the vulnerable Ukraine is because it would regain its historical territories with the help of Vladimir Putin.
"The Mi Házánk Movement is a fringe minority. The majority of Hungarians accepted the border established in 1945, they are mostly concerned with ensuring the preservation of the Hungarian language and heritage," Demkó responded.
By the way, the Venice Commission had previously established that Ukraine's approach to minority rights does not meet the requirements for EU membership, and the Hungarian government has repeatedly stated that
contrary to the suggested scenarios, it has no territorial claims and respects the integrity of Ukraine.
Balázs Tárnok, a lecturer at the National Public Service University specializing in minority affairs, also spoke in the article, who believes that the concept of the nation in Hungary is not physical, but cultural, and based on this, the members of the Hungarian nation are responsible for each other regardless of where they live.
