The 2026 final of the football Champions League will be held in the Puskás Arena in Budapest, according to the decision of the European Union (UEFA) executive committee on Wednesday.

For the first time in its history, Hungary can host the most prestigious match in club football, which has so far been held in 32 stadiums in 28 cities in 15 countries. This will be the third European Cup final in the Puskás Arena, which was handed over in 2019, after the 2020 Super Cup match and last year's Europa League final.

The governing body of UEFA did not choose the host of the 2027 final at its meeting in Dublin, postponing the decision until September due to the reconstruction of San Siro in Milan.

At the event, it was revealed that the final of the second international cup series, the Europa League, will be held in Istanbul in 2026 and in Frankfurt a year later.

The last match of the 2025/26 Conference League season will take place in the Leipzig stadium of RB Leipzig, which employs Péter Gulácsi and Willi Orbán, and in 2027, Istanbul will host another European Cup final.

The women's WC final will be held in Oslo in two years, but a new tender will be announced for the 2027 final.
