Viktor Orbán said this in an interview with the Austrian channel ServusTV

The Prime Minister stated that Hungary, in contrast to several member states of the European Union, did not allow "people belonging to foreign cultures" , pursues a family-friendly policy, and that it is a "conservative island in the European liberal ocean" Magyar Nemzet wrote .

A family-friendly culture must be built

In the interview, the Prime Minister drew attention, among other things, to the fact that today more children are born on the southern shores of the Mediterranean than on the northern shores, and that Germany or Austria, for example, do not protect themselves against this, but consider immigration policy to be the solution to demographic problems. In contrast, Hungary focuses primarily on supporting families. Viktor Orbán also explained that the phenomenon that more people die than are born and the population is shrinking is the result of a 30-40-year process, which means that people are getting older.

However, according to the Prime Minister, "giving money" alone will not lead to more children, but rather "a family-friendly culture must be built", since "the more we respect life, the more children we will have".

The Hungarian Prime Minister believes that this is necessary for young people to feel safe and choose to start a family instead. This requires a predictable economic policy, persistence and a change in mindset, as well as at least 10-20 years of consistent work, he added.

Europe is sick

Using a plastic picture of the state of the European economy, Viktor Orbán declared that it "suffers from pneumonia" and is struggling with serious problems. The prime minister recalled that the French head of state had previously warned that if no changes were made, the EU would "die out" in 2-3 years because it would lose its markets, and Mario Draghi had also declared that the European economy would be ruined.

The signs of this danger and deterioration are clearly visible, for example, in the Austrian or German economy and in many places

Viktor Orbán said.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the European economy must be made competitive again. According to him, energy prices are at the center of the problem, since - as he put it - as a result of the Brussels policy, European companies are now forced to pay two to three times the price of electricity and three to four times the price of gas compared to their American counterparts. However, at such prices, it is impossible to compete, and this cannot be compensated with anything. Orbán believes that Europe needs a new energy policy, because without it the companies will be ruined, he warned.

The conservative island

In relation to migration, the Prime Minister explained that there are two types of European countries: those that let in "those belonging to a foreign culture - predominantly Islam" and those that did not, and Hungary belongs to the latter group.

Viktor Orbán emphasized that in Hungary, the relatively small number of members of the Muslim community do not live separately, but together with the Hungarians, and that Hungary only issues work permits for the number of workers that are needed. Those who work here must leave the country when their work permit expires.

"We Hungarians think that the situation will not get better with illegal migration, but only worse," said Viktor Orbán, who highlighted the accompanying high level of crime, anti-Semitism and the large number of homophobic acts.

No one in Hungary wants illegal migrants to come in, we are on a different path, we are a conservative island in this liberal European ocean

said Viktor Orbán.

The prime minister emphasized that he would like more and more patriotic prime ministers to come to power in the European Union, and he hopes that the prime minister in Austria can emerge from the ranks of the Freedom Party. In addition, he believes that the Czech Republic also has a good chance of a patriotic prime minister, and that Marine Le Pen's party could also form a government in France.

According to Viktor Orbán, it would also be beneficial for Brussels politics if even 4-5 EU countries had patriotic leaders.

"I trust that this new majority, anti-migration, family-friendly, pro-peace, on the side of the people, representing the interests of the European people, this new center will soon emerge strongly in the number of prime ministers" -

added the Hungarian Prime Minister.

Regarding the policy of the European Union, Viktor Orbán criticized the leadership in Brussels, which, according to him, has built a culture and a hegemonic way of thinking according to which "he who is not liberal cannot be a democrat" . Orbán mentioned that this trend was formed with the financial support of György Soros, who provided financial resources for liberal politics.

At the same time, the Prime Minister added that, of course, "European liberals also have their place under the sun" and urged them to formulate their arguments, since in the end "the people decide".

They must be defeated in as many elections as possible

Viktor Orbán pointed out.

The return of Trump

Regarding the war in Ukraine, Viktor Orbán emphasized that he is not pro-Russian, but pro-peace, but at the same time he considered it important to point out that this conflict is a "fraternal war" "that we have nothing to do with". The prime minister also spoke about the high risk of the war expanding, which could even lead to a world war. That is why Viktor Orbán urged an early ceasefire and the start of peace negotiations.

The politician also emphasized the importance of the upcoming US presidential election, saying that "we know that Donald Trump did not start a war anywhere as president, and wherever he was, he ended it as soon as possible." Viktor Orbán sees that it is also possible to stop illegal migration with Trump's policy.

We will sit down with President Trump, and with this the Europeans and the Americans can make good agreements, and with him we can get a pro-peace president instead of a pro-war president, and then the policy in Brussels can also be changed

Viktor Orbán said.

"If there is anyone in the world who can succeed in achieving a ceasefire, it is Donald Trump"

said the Prime Minister.
