45-47 heads of state and government will arrive in the Hungarian capital, this will be the biggest diplomatic event in Hungary's history.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán talked about this, among many other things, in Kossuth radio's Sunday newspaper program.
A week ago, the Eastern world had a summit in Kazan, where the countries called BRICS (China, Russia, India, Brazil, South Africa) gathered, expanded with additional states.
The easterners got together and decided what to do, and the westerners will get together next week in Hungary
he said about the EPC Summit.
The prime minister highlighted:
this will be the biggest diplomatic event in Hungary's history,
to which not only EU leaders, such as the Germans, French, and Dutch, will arrive, but also those from outside the EU, i.e. the English, Turks, Caucasians, and those from the North and West Balkans.
According to him, two things should be addressed at the summit:
the American presidential election will take place two days earlier, and the declining European competitiveness must also be reversed. Former Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, former President of the European Central Bank, who recently wrote a major study on the competitiveness of the EU, is expected in Budapest.
Viktor Orbán added.
