It is telling that, like their leader, the Tisza EP representatives also run away from the debate.
The organization of public and political debates has always been important to Mandiner, but often their failure occurred due to the rejection of opposition politicians. The Tisza Party overthrew the left in recent months and took the place of the former six-party coalition, so the paper now tried with them, writes Dániel Kacsoh.
The antecedents are not very encouraging: Péter Magyar, for example, refused to sit down and debate with Balázs Orbán, the political director of the prime minister, despite repeated attempts by the public media. However, he previously called him one of the most influential government party politicians.
The tyrants are panicking, with Trump's victory, foreign support may dry up
Mandiner has now contacted András Kulja, Tisza's health politician and member of the European Parliament, whom we invited to a discussion with Péter Takács, State Secretary for Health - the latter accepted the invitation. Then the EP representative Dóra Dávid, who once worked in a high position at Meta, was approached to discuss social media and other public issues with András Schiffer.
Furthermore, they also tried with the MEP Gabriella Gerzsenyi, who is behind the intention of Brussels to abolish the overhead reduction, by asking her to debate the organization of Mandiner with her colleague, the MEP Csaba Dömötör from Fidesz.
Rejection and neglect from Péter Magyar's people
We received disappointing responses from the police, if any at all. We contacted all of them through their official European Parliament contact details, of the three, only Dóra Dávid and Gabriella Gerzsenyi answered so far.
Both sent literally the same response:
"The role of Rogán propaganda, which is part of the Orbán power factory, is obvious. He deliberately misinforms you with an immeasurable amount of public money and by repeating the most incompetent lies. As long as the sole purpose of propaganda is to discredit all actors who are not part of the Orbán regime, and as long as the prime minister refuses to debate with the president of the 40 percent TISZA Party,
the representatives of the TISZA Party do not wish to participate in manipulated charades."
An invitation letter was written to András Kulja on October 24 - maybe he is still considering it.
All of this is strange in light of the fact that the policy voiced by Péter Magyar Official The Man is partly based on holding the government to account for the lack of debate and dialogue.
But who is the green baron who thinks Péter Magyar is a superstar?
Tisza is not running in the elections for now
By the way, the Tisza Party, considered by some pollsters to be even more popular than Fidesz, avoids the election for the time being: as it turned out, they will not nominate a candidate for the interim parliamentary election in Dombóvár in January, for which they received criticism from the opposition public as well.
