The flawed, self-destructive strategy of the pro-immigration party is wiping out the whole of Europe, the parliamentary democracy built over the past centuries, based on bourgeois foundations, and the basic values of the Judeo-Christian cultural circle, writes Ifj. Constitutional lawyer Zoltán Lomnici, CÖF-CÖKA spokesperson and chief presidential adviser, in his latest article published on alaptorvenyblog.hu.
Recently, the German Der Spiegel reported that people with an immigrant background are becoming more and more important as a voter group in Germany, and their proportion is expected to increase further in the next elections. The electoral participation rate of this group also varies.
According to statistical data, about 17.1 million people aged 18 and over, i.e. a quarter (25 percent) of Germany's adult population, were immigrants last year.
According to the definition used by the federal immigration authorities, someone has an immigration history if he or both of his parents immigrated to Germany since 1950. They are also called "immigrants" and their (direct) "descendants".
According to the newspaper, the electoral participation of those with a history of immigration seems to be equalizing compared to those without immigration. According to the German Longitudinal Election Study (GLES) conducted by the Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences, 88.4 percent of eligible voters with an immigration background said they voted in the survey after the 2021 Bundestag election. That rate was just 6.8 percentage points lower than the rate among eligible voters without an immigration history, 95.2 percent of whom said they voted.
In general, it can be stated that
the left-wing, green and liberal parties see immigrants as potential voters, which is why they have been pursuing an inclusive, pro-migration policy for years, which, according to experience, is appreciated by voters with an immigrant background.
Immigration to Europe has been going on for decades, but since the migration crisis of 2015, it has been present to an increased extent, and since then it has determined the political and security policy agenda of the continent. In the Western European countries that have received large numbers of immigrants in recent years, it can be observed that some elections were decided by the migrants in favor of the left. These parties across Europe are hoping that extended voting rights to immigrants will ensure their political success, which in the short term indeed is the case.
However, they do not count on the consequence that if the proportion of immigrants reaches a critical level in relation to the majority society, they can use their right to found a party and start an independent political life, leaving behind the left-wing parties that supported them until then.
In the light of the recognizable trends so far, it is becoming increasingly clear that the European pro-immigration forces support the resettlement of migrants in Europe in no small part due to their own political considerations, and that it is not merely "human rights" altruism that motivates the politicians concerned in relation to the mandatory quota - more than once burdened with serious contradictions and out of time changed over time - in their statements.
As for Germany, already in the 2013 elections, the Socdem party, SPD, which wanted to return to power and therefore promised to fight, swept away the votes of about two-thirds of the voters of Turkish origin (and by the way, the other third also voted for left-wing parties). It is also estimated that in the early Blair days, four out of five Muslims living in Great Britain supported the Labor Party. There is no question that throughout Western Europe, the pro-migration left has tried and is trying to profit from the electoral participation of migrants.
Currently, this unprincipled pro-migration line is represented in the European Parliament by the liberals, socialists and the People's Party grand coalition - of which Péter Magyar's party is a member - together with the Greens and far-left representatives.
The flawed, self-destructive strategy of the immigration supporters is wiping out the whole of Europe, the parliamentary democracy built over the past centuries, based on bourgeois foundations, and the basic values of the Judeo-Christian cultural circle. And this is also quite certain: if the new German government continues its current immigration policy, it may plunge not only Germany itself, but the entire European Union into a serious public safety, economic, social and political crisis in the long term, and the consequences of such a crisis will be unforeseeable for all of us in the next in decades.
