Imagine a football cup with 27 teams; the organizers make the rules, but it would be their task to provide the necessary tools and supplies, such as, for example, the teams' jerseys. However, the organizers are only able to provide each team with a few jerseys, but by no means enough for the entire team, but they insist that the players can only enter the field in the clothing provided by them. And, of course, they do not accept an alternative solution, for example, if the team takes care of its own clothing for the sake of playing together, which functionally provides just as good a service as the jersey provided only partially by the organizers.

This is roughly how the proposal of the European Commission last week, which was presented by Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the commission, in Brussels, after the college of commissioners accepted the draft at its regular weekly meeting.

It will state that if a person has already been vaccinated, or has a negative test, or has already recovered from the disease and has antibodies, these must be mutually recognized by all member states, von der Leyen said.

However, this obligation would be limited only to vaccines with an EU license, but individual member states may decide to accept other vaccines in addition to these, which in practice means that the Hungarian government would have to reach bilateral agreements so that those with Russian and Chinese vaccinations do not be disadvantaged. At least until the EU puts the kosher seal on Eastern vaccines as well.

In parentheses, it is worth noting that the portal sbatteuropa.hu discusses this news The European vaccine passport is coming, those vaccinated with Russian and Chinese vaccines should be worried , which suggests that we have reached the peak the opposition media and their politicians have been on for months - see random selection of comments - the height of his hysteria campaign. So, today, those who have not received a vaccine - of any make - should not worry, so they are exposed to convalescence at home, hospital treatment, or even worse, death as a result of the infection, no, those who are not exposed to this should worry; thanks to the Eastern-made vaccines, and the Hungarian government, which was observant enough and made them available in time. Because the race is for lives, and Brussels is quite an army driver in the field. Bracket closed.

Of course, we understand the point, that the vaccine business is a multi-billion-euro business, but please, we would have liked to have been more attentive at the negotiating table, and their watchful eye on LGBT rights and the free flow of illegal immigrants into the Union at least for a fleeting moment with the various pharmaceutical companies they could have put it on agreements!

But the amazing harmony of the institutions of the European Union - in our case the European Commission and the European Council - embarrassing the floor dancers is also noteworthy, given that on January 27, 2021, the European Council banned mandatory vaccination and discrimination against those who do not vaccinate themselves:

7.3.1 to ensure that citizens are informed that vaccination is NOT compulsory and that no one is forced, politically, socially or otherwise, to vaccinate themselves if they do not want to do so themselves;

7.3.2 to ensure that no one is discriminated against for not vaccinating because of possible health risks or if they do not want to vaccinate themselves.

In summary, on January 27, the European Council decides that no one can suffer any disadvantage if they are unable/willing (we will return to the ethical aspects of the difference between the two!) to receive the vaccine, and then on March 17, the European Commission presents its proposal on the introduction of the European Union's Covid-card/Digital Green Certificate - colloquially known as a vaccine passport - and its conditions. According to these conditions, it is not only possible to get from A to B with a certified Covid-free status - without suffering any special disadvantages, for example mandatory quarantine - within the EU, but it also does not matter whether the vaccine bottle has a fine, democratic or a bad, dictatorial branding , which the one-time EU citizen received as a life saver for free and with salary savings.

As for ethics, common sense and practicality are no different: in Hungary, between 1931 and 1941, some children were only vaccinated against diphtheria, but today there are already 12 types of infection - tuberculosis (tuberculosis, tubercular disease), diphtheria (mumps), pertussis ( whooping cough), tetanus (tetanus), poliomyelitis (epidemic polio), Haemophilus influenzae B, morbilli (measles), mumps (epidemic otitis media), rubella (rosella), Hepatitis B, Pneumococcus, varicella (chicken pox) , but there are also some optional ones. Personally, I envy today's puppies, because I had to deal with the itching caused by chicken pox and the mandatory avoidance of scratching. And I am also forced to mention my grandmother, who often called out to her grandchildren who were messing around in the yard, "Did you ask for ozsona?", and when we asked them what they could choose from, she always answered "from what, what, yes or no!" .

Now, the zeitgeist is factually not in favor of normality, so the words "mandatory, duty" instead of being synchronized with rights, slowly end up on the index. Now is the time to ask the careful question that if and to the extent that some of our compatriots, of whom I myself - considering their level of intelligence - cannot even imagine how they survive a simple weekday, do not wish to take an oriental or any other vaccine, what right do they have to ask for or demand care in the event of a possible Covid infection? Of course, this has not only an ethical but also an economic aspect, as a vaccine costs a fraction of the hospital treatment, not to mention that the healthcare system remains overburdened if the majority of the population does not require the vaccine. And here we come back to the fact that there is a big difference between someone who doesn't know - for example, because of an illness - and someone who doesn't want to be vaccinated, and this is free will.

Finally, the question cannot be neglected: how far do the individual's personal rights extend, and during a pandemic, what is his duty to the community, if he has any duty at all? Does this override the other person's right to life? Those who reject vaccination usually argue that they can no longer infect someone who has been vaccinated, but this is not true on the one hand, and on the other hand, the additional burden on the health sector means that, in certain cases, even vaccinated people who would otherwise need it badly do not receive care in time on him.

Ultimately, the ethics, or more precisely, the unethicality of the Brussels waterhead in terms of rights and duties – see the modest involvement in the outbreak of the epidemic, or the axing of vaccine procurement – is modeled by the ethics of the population of European societies. Let's not even talk about the ethics of those who incite and then ride the waves of mass hysteria. However, there is no reason to worry: it will not happen like this.
