The renovation of the Catholic church on the main square of Kisbér has been completed, the two-hundred-year-old building was restored with the support of the government and the Diocese of Győr at a cost of 140 million forints.

The mayor of the city, Zoltán Sinkovicz (Fidesz-KDNP), said that after desalination and drainage, the walls of the church were covered with a new covering, the balustrade on the top of the truncated towers and between them was replaced, the towers received a new slab, and a clock mechanism was also installed.

The government contributed HUF 80 million to the investment, and the Győr Diocese contributed HUF 60 million. In addition to the church, the listed parish, which was built in the 1720s as the city's first stone building, will also be renovated, the mayor explained.

Kisbér's baroque-style Catholic church with a truncated tower is located in the center of the settlement, its construction was ordered on March 19, 1783 by count Tódor Batthyány.
Its late-baroque high altar and braid-style pulpit were made in 1788. The church contains the painting Christ on the Cross, gifted by Mária Terézia to the parish of Kisbéri in 1770. The high altar painting, made in 1889, depicts the Assumption of Mary.

In 1825, Count József Antal Batthyány rebuilt the church in a classicist style and added two truncated towers. The interior was decorated with frescoes in 1938 based on the designs of Gábor Döbrentei. The stained glass windows were made by Attila Mohay in 1982.

The building's exterior and structure have not changed since 1825, and its style fits organically with the castle park and Batthyány Castle.
