The number of covid victims in Hungary is over 25,000, "600 children have been orphaned and this affects four hundred families," said President János Áder, who with his wife Anita Herczegh created a foundation to help the children, if possible until they reach adulthood.

Behind the numbers, however, there are stories and dramas. In one family, only the grandmother was admitted to the hospital at first, she died, and then the mother and father died suddenly one day after the other. At the hospital, they didn't even know how to notify their nine-year-old daughter, and then they reached one of the nieces, who fainted when she heard what had happened; he was also taken away by the ambulance. Similarly, two teenagers were orphaned at a school in Szolnok, from one minute to the next. For now, they have been taken in by their grandmother, who is also exposed to the infection. Mária Kállai, member of parliament from Fidesz, organizes donations for them.

For weeks, my wife and I have been thinking about how to help this situation.

the Áder couple asked themselves, in the end they donated five million forints from their own savings to the foundation's goals, and they hope that many people will join them. This unprecedented situation outside of wartime, but still wartime, is also a test of solidarity. It is hard to bear that some politicians make this tragedy a part of their campaign.

Opposition MP Ákos Hadházy wrote the following in his Facebook post on April 18, 2021

Government propaganda now tries to ignore the dead, as they do not fit into the success propaganda, but 25,000 families are mourning all over the country. However, we cannot forget these deceased and their families. A few days ago, I initiated the setting up of a memorial in Budapest, which would pay tribute to the heroism of healthcare workers in addition to the victims. Of course, the implementation will be left for the post-epidemic period, but we will soon launch a competition for ideas. I would like to solve the implementation with public donations, not with public money - I believe that the necessary amount can be collected in a few days.

After all, the difference between the two intentions is clearly perceptible!

The Áders agonize over how they can help, and in the end they offer money from their own savings for actual needs and invite others to do the same, and Hadházy is thinking about setting up a memorial during the days of mass mourning, after the epidemic, of course.

Obviously, he will insist that all this happened because of the Orbán government!

Such a memorial will be perfect for elections!

In addition, can you tell me, Mr. Billionaire, Private Jet Representative, how much has been offered for this noble cause, which, I say once again, is probably only the government's primary goal? There is no mention of this in your own post! Well, this public donation is a great gesture! Others will pay the price. I recommend to the representative that if he were to allocate all the money for it, he should give it to Áder's foundation instead! Believe me, it will be more needed there!

We don't know what this sudden "world war" is. We don't even know how long it will last! According to our current knowledge, the only weapon against it is the vaccine, so this must be used. Of course, the opposition also uses this as a boringly familiar campaign trick. So that we don't vaccinate ourselves with the eastern vaccine this way and that, let's wait for the western one, because this is the party of the Zorbans again. How familiar this attitude is from the end of the first great war!

The pacific measure of the leftist-communist government at the time: if the enemy were to come, let's lay down our weapons and retreat! This is how we lost Hungary 100 years ago!

You don't have to now! It's better to do it today! Thank God, the people are very disciplined, the vaccination points work well and professionally, compared to many Western countries, there is enough vaccine here, and the processes are speeding up. We might even win. Everyone sees this, including the opposition, and they fear it like the devil fears incense. Don't let the government succeed in this either!

I think that we should first of all mourn the victims, sympathize with them and do our best to help the war orphans. Both from own and public funds. The virus does not discriminate between opposition and government voters and their children! Let's open our hearts, and let me be profane: our wallets too!

Let's bow our heads and pray!
