The Carpathian Basin wheat consecration ceremony of the 15 million grains of wheat program was held yesterday in Zenta . János Árpád Potápi, the State Secretary responsible for national policy at the Prime Minister's Office, appeared at the ceremony, who - referring to the epidemic - emphasized that Hungarians have survived much greater difficulties than the current one, and have always been able to start over, and this will be the case now .

The state secretary reminded that 2021 is the year of new beginnings, so they could not have found a better location for the wheat consecration than Zenta, where they were able to start life again after the 1697 battle against the Turks.

In relation to the wheat consecration and the Magyarok Kenyere program, he emphasized that bread is an important symbol for Hungarians. He also touched on the fact that common holidays and traditions distinguish Hungarians from the surrounding peoples, and that a decade ago the Bread of the Hungarians program was included in the list, which started in Hungary, but was soon joined by the Hungarians of the diaspora.

The Secretary of State for National Policy pointed out that thanks to the policies of the Hungarian government and organizations across the border, such strong communities were created in the Carpathian Basin that they were able to strengthen despite the pandemic, and thus emerge from this period stronger.
