From today, that is, from May 18, you can apply for Transcarpathian social grants. State Secretary for National Policy János Árpád Potápi and László Brenzovics, President of the Subcarpathian Hungarian Cultural Association, held a press conference on the program's achievements so far, this year's call and new elements.

Transcarpathia is in the most difficult situation among the Hungarian communities across the border. That's why the local community has an exceptional role in the subsidies, said the state secretary.

This year, the program package is expanded with two new subcategories. From now on, hospital workers participating in the defense against the coronavirus, as well as Hungarian-speaking employees of social and child welfare institutions, as well as institutions providing care for the disabled, can also apply. What is new this year is that the amount of the child feeding subsidy has been increased to HUF 30,000.

In the program, almost all layers of Transcarpathian Hungarians receive support : teachers teaching in the Hungarian language, pedagogues of art and music schools, health workers, media workers, librarians who carry out their professional activities in Hungarian, actors, performers. The total amount of the support is more than HUF 2.5 billion.

The invitations are available on the website of Bethlen Gábor Alapkezelő Zrt
