We must consciously take care of the created world, and it is essential to teach this to children as well, the KDNP faction leader and Újbuda member of parliament told MTI on Saturday.

István Simicskó reminded that the Hungarian Nature Day is being celebrated in our country for the seventh time this year.
"There are many occasions when we put the values of the created world in the center, but the current one stands out among them," he said, adding that "today's significant day was created by civil solidarity and the Hungarian people's love for nature." He pointed out that the purpose of the Hungarian Nature Day is to draw attention to the "treasures of mother nature, whose gifts we also benefit from every day".
"Most of the time we take the resources of the world around us - such as drinking water, arable land, raw materials - for granted", so it is important to understand that "our children can only enjoy these priceless treasures in the future if we treat nature like a good steward" - István Simicskó explained.
The Christian Democrat politician emphasized that "we have to act like people, not consumers."
"Although we all share in the gifts of the Earth, protecting and preserving it is also a common task of all of us," he said.
According to István Simicskó, everyone can do what they can to ensure that this priceless treasure is not damaged, but rather continues to grow.
"The key to our health and life is the nature that surrounds us, let's take care of it, because that's how we can take care of ourselves and each other!" - the government politician concluded his announcement.
