These data were published this morning by the information page Koronavirus.gov.hu. 3,732,252 people already received their second vaccination. The number of new infections is 315, thus increasing the number of identified infections to 805,302 since the beginning of the epidemic. Most of the 18 who died were elderly and chronically ill, so the number of those who died rose to 29,792. The number of recovered people is constantly increasing, currently 708,198 people, and the number of active infected people has decreased to 67,312 people.  739 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospital, 77 of them are on ventilators.

Thanks to vaccinations and protective measures, we broke the third wave of the epidemic. Hungary remains second in the EU vaccination rankings. 53.5% of the Hungarian population has already received the vaccine, compared to the EU average of 38%. The Indian virus mutant has also appeared in Hungary, which is why it is important to get vaccinated.

You can continue to register on the website www.vakcinainfo.gov.hu, and those with valid registration can also book an appointment for vaccination online on the website www.eeszt.gov.hu.
