After the end of the school year, the Karitász camps will start in many places across the country, in which more than 3,600 children will be able to spend their holidays in 10 weeks.

The national network of Katolikus Karitász wants to relieve the burden on parents who have already used up a lot of their leave in connection with spring digital education. therefore organize day-care summer camps for children.

There will be boarding, daycare, thematic, development and craft camps, their locations are Balaton resorts, parishes, or other community accommodations. One-week camps are free for children. The Karitász volunteers put together a colorful program in each camp with excursions, handicrafts, playful contests and, where possible, going to the beach.

The camps of Karitász can be attended by children of families living in difficult situations - often in extreme poverty - as well as children and young people with disabilities. For many of them, this is the only vacation option, and it is not uncommon for them to arrive at the week-long camps without a change of clothes. Thus, the Karitász volunteers not only await the camp residents with colorful programs, but also try to prepare for these cases.

In addition to the self-organized programs, 150 children will spend their holidays at Lake Balaton with the help of Karitász among the participants of the Erzsébet camps, and 1,044 people will be able to participate free of charge during the Family Weekends until autumn.
