Between August 19 and 22, the XII. István Bujtor Film Festival, whose competition program includes 110 films.

Among the works admitted to the competition by the preliminary jury are 35 feature films and experimental fiction works, 25 documentary, educational and portrait films, 3 animated works and 47 poetry films, the organizers announced.

Among the feature films are Norbert Aracsi's The Forgotten Generation, Zoltán Dézsy's romantic investigation Ten minutes after three, András Sári-gyöp Pataki's and Miklós Százados's experimental film.

Among the documentaries, Zsolt Poroszka Magyar's educational film Bee Hoverers, Krisztián Bárány and Sándor Takó 's work Erdély – Between Heaven and Earth can be seen. Among the poetry films are adaptations of the works of the great classical poets, the University of Theater and Film Arts has submitted several poetry films.

The chairman of the professional jury is Gábor Balázs Ferenczi, a Béla Award-winning film director and screenwriter, professor at SZFE, ELTE and Metropolitan University.

The István Bujtor Award is awarded by category and will be presented on August 22. Separate awards will be given to the best performances, screenplay, cinematography and editing, the best effects, music, editing and direction.

The patron of the festival is Judit Bujtor , its director is Imre Lutter , its main sponsor is the State Secretariat for Culture of the Ministry of Human Resources.

The festival's programs are also enriched by concerts, street theater, food tasting, a memorial exhibition, a vintage car meeting and a retro street party. The great Bujtor classics - The Pagany Madonna, The Enchanted Dollar, Hamis a baba and Csak semmi panik - are screened in the garden cinema in the evenings. , presents behind-the-scenes photos and posters.
