The closing mass of the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress (INEC) will be presented by the Holy Father in the field of Heroes.
Pope Francis expressed his gratitude for the preparation of his visit to Budapest in his speech following Sunday's midday Angelus prayer, with which he officially announced that he will concelebrate the closing mass of the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress (INEC) on the afternoon of September 12.
In his speech in Italian to the Apostolic Palaces from the window overlooking St. Peter's Square, Pope Francis emphasized that he prays from the bottom of his heart for all those who organize and prepare his visit.
He added that he will make a pastoral visit to Slovakia between September 12 and 15.
The 52nd International Eucharistic Congress (INEC), originally planned for last year, will be held in Budapest this year between September 5 and 12 due to the pandemic. Pope Francis will present the closing mass in Hősök Square.
