There is no word in the German language that can describe the devastation caused by the weekend's natural disaster, said the chancellor who arrived at the scene. The pictures were moving, the broken prime minister of the Rhine region was supported by two people, the people looked helplessly at the shattered remains of their life's work with tears in their eyes. After a battle, a landscape cannot show the kind of spectacle caused by wild nature and small rivers emerging from their beds.

This was to be expected, it has not been a month since the government put its climate change risk analysis on the table. The study warned that heavy rains could occur anywhere and at any time in Germany. and the historically formed sewer network will certainly not be able to withstand this load. Localized floods may occur, inundating residential areas. The representatives accepted the study, but considered the matter settled: there will be elections in September, and that will take up all their energy and nerves. Flood protection is not so important now that the parties deal with it in their programs.

The Hungarian government was one of the first to offer its help and friendship to Germany. I think the help was accepted, perhaps the name of the friend was not necessary because this gesture had no news value. In addition to the flood and the time of judgment (look, we have biblical words for what happened!) the presentation of the latest weapon of the authoritarian dictatorships, the spyware scandal, dominated the German media, naming the reprehensible relationship between Hungary and Israel, since two authoritarian regimes made a pact with each other. For the sake of credibility, they also introduced the persecuted, monitored and eavesdropped journalists and the investigative portal Direkt36, which was put under pressure, which, in the face of political opposition, fights as Titusz Dugovics to reveal the Hungarian truth - i.e. Orbán's corruption . This independent portal is supported by the pocket money of supporters and the selfless help of George Soros Perhaps this is also the reason for their persecution, since Soros is an enemy of the state in the eyes of the Hungarian government. Viktor Orbán himself said back in 2017 that any means, even secret services, could be used against Soros.

The specialists of Amnesty International, which is also fighting for justice with the help of Soros, examined the telephones of the persecuted journalists of the persecuted portal and found that two years ago the winged Trojan, the Pegasus spy program, flew onto their telephones in order to fish data from them, listen to their confidential conversations and find their secret informants. (Meanwhile, the Israeli office of Amnesty denied the claims of the international press, our portal also reported on this - ed.)

Although the investigative journalists tried to keep their informants secret, Pegasus was able to pounce on them everywhere, because data protection and privacy rights do not exist in other authoritarian dictatorships. For the sake of credibility, the Germans also reported on the latest report of another Soros organization, Reporters Without Borders, namely the 92nd place in the press freedom rankings. The ranking is self-explanatory, since the public service has been transformed since Orbán came to power in 2010, the existence of more and more media companies close to the government and the existence of many journalists critical of the system has been threatened.

That's a lot for me with my morning coffee. I could almost see before me how the well-known democracy-fearing team in Brussels and the power-hungry Hungarian opposition would jump on the bait. In this season of pickled cucumbers, the sensation and the story come in handy, with which you can once again interfere in Hungarian domestic politics and influence next year's elections. By the evening, all the opposition potentates had already spoken, calling for a dictatorship and demanding the disclosure of national security secrets. Netanyahu gave Orbán the Israeli-made cyber-weapon at a meeting in 2018. According to the expert representative from Jobbik, the fact that the government is silent is already an open admission of illegal wiretapping. But what kind of government and what kind of secret service is it that trumpets national security, secret operative work to the world?! How can you protect your citizens then?

Our people in the TV studio spoke with all six/seven. That is, what they said is a possibility, all assumptions, without evidence. One of them accidentally tweeted that their alleged surveillance was connected to the case of the Syrian F. Hassan. The Hungarian authorities found out that he was not a simple people smuggler, but a terrorist, a high-ranking leader of the Islamic State. What if it is not a national security risk if a journalist starts investigating this case on his own beard? The main problem for the Germans was that the Israeli NSO spy program, developed to fight terrorism, was deployed in Hungary against journalists and civil organizations who were committed to their work. I feel that it is again some kind of distraction, in which case the Germans usually pull out the usual "Hungarian card".

There's a lot to be distracted from these days. Here, for example, is the soon-to-be-expected verdict of the German Constitutional Court, whether Chancellor Merkel violated the law when she intervened in the Thuringian prime minister election in 2020? Because the free democrat Thomas Kemmerich became prime minister with the votes of the AFD against the candidate of the Communist successor party, the Linke. Chancellor Merkel issued the verdict, the result of the election must be annulled immediately, because no one can become prime minister in Germany with the votes of the AFD! That's how it happened, they started running again, and then they managed to put the left in charge. The AFD filed a constitutional complaint against Merkel at the time, the trial will take place this month. Sure enough, the chancellor invited the entire Constitutional Court to dinner on June 30. Everyone accepted the invitation. C oncrete intervention in a democratic election, the corruption of an independent court fits into the interpretation of the rule of law of Western democracies. All it takes is a little distraction, and Hungary can always be used for that.

But let's get back to the spyware issue! In Germany, on August 24, 2017, just before the Bundestag elections, the law on the monitoring of telecommunications resources (Quellen-TKÜ) entered into force. As a result of a hastily conducted legislative process, the German Federal Crime Agency (BKA) was legally authorized to install a spyware called a Trojan virus on the computers and smartphones of private individuals. Secretly of course. This "state trojan" makes it possible to observe all the user habits of anyone's computer, be it past or present. The data is accessed covertly and not once or sporadically, but over an extended period of time. It not only monitors new communication content, but also all content stored in the IT system, possibly dating back many years, and all user behavior, checking everything from diary-like notes to film and audio documents. Moreover, in such a way that we do not even notice the surveillance in the digital space. All this with legal authority, in the interest of the citizen.

Objections to the law were raised only by data protection officers, IT security specialists and lawyers. The ordinary citizen does not know about it all, because the application of the state Trojan virus takes place in secret. Or if he can, he accepts. It does this because politics is constantly buzzing with the fear of terror, so citizens will agree to anything that can avert the real or perceived danger. And they accept it because the majority of people in Germany still believe in democracy. It will soon be decided whether they can still believe in the impartiality of the Constitutional Court?
