People living with type 1 diabetes will receive new support, the relevant ministerial decree can already be read in the Magyar Közlöny, Katalin Novák, Minister without portfolio responsible for families, announced on her social media page.

"The Operative Tribe Responsible for Restarting Community Life decided last week that children living with type 1 diabetes will have the most up-to-date, new-generation insulin pump essentially free of charge from August 1st of this year. At the pump, those under the age of 18 and young people studying full-time in high school or higher education, up to the age of 24, receive a 98 percent subsidy, while adults receive an 80 percent subsidy.

We are confident that with this step we can once again provide substantial help to the affected families," wrote Katalin Novák.
