International fire was poured on our country due to the adoption of the child protection and pedophile law, which is not at all surprising, since in March the EU classified itself as a zone of LGBTIQ freedom. Would that be the number of people personally involved in Brussels? Probably yes, otherwise they wouldn't spoil Hungary with such angry rants.

Dániel Kacsoh and Laura Szalai interviewed Máté Kocsis , Fidesz faction leader, about the law and its reception. We quote a part of the conversation.

Does Fidesz need permission to participate in Pride?

It shouldn't be if someone wants to participate, but there is no such person in the faction. Don't get me wrong, this event is not about standing up for sexual freedom or possibly accepting deviance, but rather a rough provocation. The LGBTQ movement does not protect the minority, but attacks the majority. Defamation of Christians, mocking of the Hungarian national identity, incitement of hatred, professional insults of government politicians, if they feel like it, "slandering" them, and extreme liberal propaganda hiding behind some kind of supposed freedom. This is the offer from their leading movements throughout the year. However, I think that the tasteless provoking of the majority society is not a right of freedom, as they claim.

Homosexuality was first included in the fight against pedophilia, and soon, for example, the public would be asked whether gender reassignment treatments should also be available for minors. How do such questions relate to the original goals?

The original goal is to keep children away from content inappropriate for their age and LGBTQ propaganda, which has been targeting them worldwide for a long time. The perpetrators don't really hide this. In Hungary, we are also at the second last moment, perhaps we put an obstacle in front of them just in time. The argument of some liberal journalists that what we regulate in the law does not even exist here is laughably sly. Before we delve into the reality of this, let's just say that we didn't even want to wait for it to spread. To the west of us, it is commonplace that even small children are surrounded by LGBTQ propaganda. It is called sensitization, while it is more about persuasion, since they are not only expected to accept, but also to actively stand up, in the hope that it will be easier to involve them later. They start the ideological re-education early, while there should be a consensus that if, for example, a six-year-old girl is told - as numerous recordings prove - that being a lesbian is a good thing, that in itself is pedophilia. There is nothing to be gained by sexuality in this age, in any context. That's why we say keep your hands off our children.

In Brussels and in the Western, but also in the domestic opposition press, the law is called the "homophobic law".

In liberal circles, they are very good at naming, reinterpreting and stigmatizing. It is a simple lie to call the child protection and anti-pedophile law that. The attack in Brussels is obviously political, it would be quite shocking if it were substantive. And if it is, and the protection of children comes under such pressure, then there is a bigger problem in Brussels than we thought. The legislative package strengthens the prerogatives of parents regarding the upbringing of their children, but it does not mention adults. In Hungary, everyone lives their private life as they wish, any other interpretation is false. The Brussels mainstream wants to get us to withdraw the law, but we won't. Countless means of pressure are used, but in vain, the law remains only because its adoption is a national competence, and external pressure is even less acceptable in this matter. If we allow Brussels to have a say in this by abusing its power, then we will be the victims of another stealth withdrawal of powers.

If the breach of duty procedure is terminated, the referendum will become pointless - said Gergely Gulyás, Minister of the Chancellery. Are the children being protected now, or is it more of a prank against Brussels?

The future of our children is a matter of destiny, that is why we adopted the child protection rules, and the law entered into force. And yes, the referendum is a protest against the attack in Brussels, but the debate also touches on issues of fate that are best asked of the citizens, especially in such a loud debate. Let's hope that the Brussels elite, if they claim to be democrats, are not against asking people's opinions. If Westerners abuse their power, this type of weapon is necessary.
