On Tuesday, at several church buildings in downtown Bratislava, it was noticed that, during the night, as yet unknown perpetrators had spray-painted inscriptions in English on the street fronts and entrances of these buildings.

today 7 that the Slovak Christian-conservative news portal postoj.sk reported that the inscriptions are in English and are related to the ideology of the LQBTI movement, supporting them. These are e.g. God is transgender" or "The homosexual revolution is ahead" and "Homosexual power" graffiti.

Monastery of the Eagles

The inscriptions appeared on the walls of the Orsolya Monastery in Bratislava, as well as the Merciful Order, Franciscan, Capuchin, and Jesuit churches.

As the Franciscan monk Simeon Peter Bryndzák told the news portal, the perpetrators are not visible on the video recordings available to them, and he added that it is not known whether it is simple vandalism, or whether there is another meaning behind the act.

The wall of the Faculty of Theology in Bratislava

The municipal police in Bratislava gave a statement to the TASR news agency about the case, which, although it was not yet able to provide information about the perpetrators and their motive, indicated that they are trying to find the perpetrators together with the state police.

The Bratislava archbishop's office and the city administration of the Old Town unanimously condemned the fact of the wall inscriptions, citing primarily moral, but not negligible, material damages.
