Just like last year, all students of primary and secondary educational institutions will receive free textbooks this year, said Prof. Dr. Miklós Kásler regarding the academic year starting on the first of September.
In his video message, the Minister of Human Resources said: the current situation of the coronavirus epidemic makes attendance education possible. In this regard, he emphasized: 734,000 students are expected to start their studies in primary schools, while 490,000 in secondary schools, and 98,000 first-year students will enter the classrooms.
He added that investments for the development of the school system worth HUF 350 billion are currently being made in more than 900 educational institutions from EU and domestic budget resources.
In the last thirty years, there has been no school development in Hungary to the same extent as the current one, the minister emphasized.
