It has been exactly 20 years since the terrorist attacks hit the United States on September 11, 2001. As is well known, the al-Qaeda terrorist organization carried out a series of coordinated suicide bombings, as they drove passenger planes into buildings considered the main symbols of the USA.

One plane each crashed into the twin towers of New York's World Trade Center, the buildings caught fire, and both collapsed within two hours. After that, similar to the twin towers, several buildings collapsed or were damaged in the area. The third plane flew into the Pentagon. According to some assumptions, the terrorists would have directed the fourth hijacked plane to the White House or the Capitol, but the passengers took it back, but they were unable to save it from falling.

Slowly, the dramatic scenes of the terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of three thousand people are slowly being forgotten, but a few days ago - as is well known - US President Joe Biden ordered the US Department of Justice to release the previously classified investigative documents related to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. make it public. According to Biden's order, the documents in question will be scanned before being declassified and made public within six months.

Some American groups, including family members and relatives of those who died in the September 11 attacks, fear that some documents and evidence may have been destroyed by the FBI so that they would not be made public.

So it remains to be seen to what extent the truth will be revealed, but as the anniversary approaches, confusing conspiracy theories always get stronger. It's not even worth recalling these, but thinking about my 20-year-old memories, some things were inexplicable, at least to me.

The planes crashed into the Twin Towers before and shortly after 9:00 a.m. The time is not exactly the time for tourists taking photos, but rather for people doing things, yet countless photos record the impact of the planes, and the events can even be seen on videos.

Understandably, CNN also showed such footage, but at the same time, the bleeding people could not be seen in the footage, only a cloud of dust from which a few people emerged. Not that I missed the dramatic sequences, but this is not typical for the press.

The twin towers remained standing for more than an hour, meaning they did not collapse within minutes. Obviously, there may be static explanations for this.

No footage of the plane landing on the Pentagon could be seen, photos were taken only after the impact.

Some of the pictures I remember, of course, you don't want these kinds of shots in the middle of your back, that is, no one wants such and similar events to happen again.

But what really happened on September 11, 2001?…
