The airline Wizz Air announced that it will expand its flights from Marosvásárhely on Székelyhon from October 31. The Budapest flight will be expanded from 2 to 5 a week, i.e. there will also be a flight to Budapest on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

It will be possible to fly to Rome 3 times a week instead of the current 2 times a week. The director of the airport also said that the number of flights is increasing because there is a high demand for them and there are many vaccinated and aware passengers who go on trips by plane. Currently, it is possible to travel to different countries of the world at very good prices, and many people take advantage of this opportunity, as well as the fact that the summer season is already over, and popular cities are less crowded and busy.

The director of the airport also told Székelyhon that it will become clear after October 15 whether new flights will depart from Marosvásárhely, because the airport and the Maros County Council, which maintains it, announced a support tender with the consent of the European Commission, for the airlines that who start new flights from Marosvásárhely.
