Mayor Bálint Nagy and András Csótár welcomed the truck for the traveling exhibition in Keszthely. The 2006 police terror exhibition came to the city after Budapest and other rural locations. The events that took place as a result of Ferenc Gyurcsány's speech in Ószöd are presented with documentaries and the weapons used by the police by the National Legal Protection Service and the Civil Solidarity Forum.

"15 years after the bloody police terror, many people have forgotten what happened, how the authorities then attacked the opponents, those who protested against the detection of election fraud. There are a lot of people who weren't alive then, or at least were little kids. We believe that especially young people should learn about the absolutely amazing system of violence and the series of reprisals that befell those who dared to protest, or commemorated the fiftieth anniversary of the 1956 War of Independence, or who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time," he said . Tamás Gaudi-Nagy , executive director of the National Legal Protection Service.

At the street forum organized in connection with the exhibition, an offender also told his story. Sándor Végh participated in the events 15 years ago as a cameraman and suffered police violence. Parliament member Jenő Manninger

"This should never happen again and it should be remembered for that reason alone. On the other hand, it obviously has a political relevance, because we can see that Ferenc Gyurcsány is fighting for power in the same way today - now he and his wife, a family - they really want to get close to this power again," said the politician .

According to the organizers of the exhibition, the bloodiest armed violence of the past fifty years took place in September and October 2006. The regime led by the Gyurcsány government tried to crush the protesters with horse charges, rubber bullets, and water cannons. According to the data of the National Legal Protection Service, more than 200 civilians were seriously injured during the October 23 demonstrations. During its country tour, the traveling exhibition will be seen in more than 20 settlements, today and tomorrow (October 1st and 2nd) in Zalaegerszeg.
