"The voice of the people, the voice of God," goes the saying, which of course is not always true. On the other hand, it cannot be denied that the "voice" of the commentators can even be a signal in some cases. The Magyar Nemzet collected in a bouquet the posts condemning the mayor following Gergely Karácsony's resignation.

The mayor's withdrawal from the second round of the primary election on Friday was not received with enthusiasm by many of his supporters, and several declared that despite Karácsony's request, they would no longer support Péter Márki-Zay.

"I hope as few people as possible go to incite hatred! These two people pissed off! Moreover, it is incomprehensible that a former left-wing candidate is campaigning for a right-wing candidate. Christmas! Are you completely crazy? With this act, you have become a failed politician, the people of Budapest should disturb you!"

"Dear Gergő! Unfortunately, you have become untrustworthy for me today, which I am very sorry for! From now on, I don't care at all about what you write!"

"As a left-wing voter, I feel deeply disappointed and will not vote for MZP."

“I am truly sorry. With this step, you are transferred to Klára Dobrev. Enough of the arrogance and telling demigods. I saw in you the opportunity for a new, more European communication and leadership".

“You're a big disappointment, but I don't need to be told who to vote for. I know where to put the X after that.”

"You know, Gergő, so many of us trusted you! I worked 42 hours in 7 days in the tent in the cold, rain and wind. For you and because of you! You tricked us!!! Why didn't you go through with it?”

Under Gergely Karácsony's post, there was also someone who stated directly: "I will not go to the second round. There is no reason, no for whom".

"There is no trust on my part! I hope they both end up in the sinkhole. They only seek to gain power.”

What about you, KariGeri?
