Mothers with small children who would return to the labor market and in the meantime place their child in a non-municipality-maintained institution can apply for up to HUF 40,000 a month in support, said the minister without portfolio responsible for families in a post published on Facebook on Saturday.

Katalin Novák explained that until December 31, 2022, parents raising children under the age of three who want to place their child in non-municipally maintained nursery care or daytime childcare after returning to work can apply for the support.

The minister said that in order to apply for the subsidy, the request must be submitted on the website of the Hungarian Treasury for those who would like to go back to work now, but do not want to pay a lot for their child's placement.
