The "comrades" are afraid of the truth. The deputy mayor of Újpest DK refused without reason to let the cultural center be rented for this purpose, and the left-wing coalition simply walked out of the council meeting before the discussion of the proposal submitted on the subject, and they did not return.

The left-liberal leadership of the Újpest municipality made it practically impossible to make the political thriller Elk*rtuk available to the general public in the district, which is about the leaking of Ferenc Gyurcsány's speech in Ószöd and the police terror of the fall of 2006.

The story began when Újpest municipal representative Balázs Szabó wanted to organize a screening in his district due to the great interest. There has been no cinema in Újpest for a long time, so the residents of Újpest are forced to go to other parts of the city if they want to see a work on the big screen.

The representative wanted to rent the large hall of the Polgár Centrum, which operates as a local cultural center, to show the film on October 25 or 27, so he contacted the head of the institution in a letter. He said, however, that the company that maintains the institution, the municipal Újpest Cultural Center Nonprofit Kft., can decide on the matter, and you have to ask for permission from them. A few days later, he indicated that the institution's caretaker would not allow the screening of the film.

All of this is interesting because the head of the Újpest Cultural Center, deputy mayor Kata Bedő, is a DK politician (whose party leader is Ferenc Gyurcsány, who is the subject of the film). The DK politician did not justify his decision. According to Szabó, in any case, there was no question of a lack of capacity, since he inquired on time, more than a month before, and there was a free appointment on the mentioned days.

According to Balázs Szabó, the Polgár Centrum, which regularly hosts programs with political themes, is the only venue in Újpest where the screening could have been organized, as there is a room of suitable size that can be rented at an affordable price. He would have taken care of providing the technical background.

The politician started the initiative when it was still far from certain whether the Budapest cinemas belonging to Budapest Film Zrt. would screen the film. In this regard, Gábor Kálomista, one of the film's producers, previously said that the company belonging to the Budapest municipality led by Gergely Karácsony wants to ban the film for political reasons. He also talked about how they tried to make the film impossible even during production.

At the time, many people classified the producer's words as a marketing ploy. In this regard, a conflict arose even in the Capital Assembly, and Fidesz stated in a statement that "the panic among the Gyurcsánys" is huge because of the film. Since then, the film has been classified as art, so there is no obstacle to showing it in art cinemas.

Balázs Szabó, who was previously a member of the local cultural committee, made an agreement with the producer of the film, organized the screening, which could be attended for an entrance fee, and also started to organize an exhibition of the photographs of a photographer from Újpest who followed the events of 2006, but the plans did not nothing happened.
