"Live in the freedom of the Gospel" - Pope Francis' speeches during his visit to Budapest and Slovakia, a volume was published by Bencés Kiadó and Magyar Kurír, with the help of which we can look back on the Holy Father's September 12-15. for the 34th international apostolic journey between

The book, illustrated with pictures, contains all the speeches of Pope Francis in Budapest and during his trip to Slovakia, his conversation with the members of the Slovak Jesuit Province, and the press conference he gave on board the plane on the way back.

The book was recommended by András Veres, county bishop of Győr, president of the Hungarian Catholic Bishops' Conference (MKPK), and Bratislava Archbishop Stanislav Zvolenský, president of the Slovak Bishops' Conference (KBS).

András Veres writes, among other things: the statio orbis Mass led by Pope Francis touched a great many people.

Those who marched from Kossuth Square to Hősök Square, praying and singing, surely had the experience of a lifetime. It is no coincidence that the Holy Father also expressed his joy at the time of his farewell that the Mass at the Heroes Square was extremely intimate and prayerful.

Perhaps it is not an exaggeration to assume that this whole meeting had a moving effect not only for the believers and those present, but also for those who only learned about what happened at the congress through television or radio. Praise goes to the staff of the press who tried to report on the events in an authentic and experiential manner.

We can be sure that the Eucharistic Congress also helped those who knew us even less to get to know our people and culture better.

And the fact that the Holy Father met with state leaders, representatives of sister churches and Jewish communities made it clear that this meeting was not only for the Catholic faithful, but that everyone could feel at home there.
